The Marina Nydri is situated on the East Coast of the island of Lefkas in the Ionian Sea in Greece. Nydri is also sometimes spelt Nidri and is the Islands‘ main tourist resort halfway between Lefkas town (17km north) and Vassiliki (21km south). The airport of Preveza (15 km away) links this city daily with Athens (1hr) or other international cities. Facilities of the Marina Nydri include a launderette, a chandlery, water and diesel on quays, telephones, easy access to restaurants, supermarkets (open from 9am till midnight), banks and ATMs, an exchange office, a fuel station, a taxi service, car and motorbike rentals. Its location on the East Coast of Levkas means that the sea is usually calm, therefor it is a ideal location to learn sailing. Nydri is also the assembly point for the annual Ionian Regatta, one of the biggest Yachting events in the Mediterranean Sea. It generally takes place on the third Thursday in September and attracts about 190 entries. Nidri‘s village also offers a good variety of bars, cafés, restaurants and nightclubs to suit all tastes. Furthermore, there are three chemists, a doctor and a Post Office.
