Regulations for registering your arrival
When entering Croatia by sea, for example via Slovenia, Montenegro or Italy, you'll need to head straight to the nearest harbour open for international business (port of entry) to register your arrival.
An updated list of ports of entry was released dome time ago, according to which the harbour authorities at Pula, Umag, Porec, Rovinj, Rasa, Rijeka, Mali Losinj, Zadar, Sibenik, Split, Dubrovnik, Ploce, Korcula, Vela Luka and Ubli are open for international visitors all year round. Additional ports of entry are open seasonally (during the summer season, usually from 1 April to 31 October) at ACI-Umag, Novigrad, Sali, Bozava, Primosten, Hvar, Stari Grad (Hvar), Vis, Komiza and Cavtat.
Boat documents, an insurance certificate, the passports of all crew members and the skipper's licence must be presented at registration, and the crew list completed. The harbour authorities must be notified if the crew changes during a trip and will then issue a new crew list free of charge.
